Additional Information

We have heard from homeowners, that have experienced damage to their homes, that they felt they were being pushed or "bullied" into using the company the Insurance Company sent out. Please know that although the Insurance may recommend a company for you or may send a company out to your house, you can at any time refuse to use them (unless you have signed a contract binding you.)

This is a common practice with some companies when there is a fire. A lot of companies run scanners and are on the scene while the house is burning trying to sign up the homeowner into using their company for the repairs. I refer to these companies as piranhas.

Also be wary of Public Adjusters.

The bottom line is, as a homeowner, you can use anyopne you like to fix up your house, as long as they can work within the estimate parameters the Insurance Company writes up.
